About Write Image Communications
Write Image Communications was started by Terri Lee Paulsen in 2003 to offer editorial services to both companies and individuals.
Terri has a journalism degree from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and plied her trade as a newspaper reporter for three Minnesota daily newspapers before moving to Hong Kong in June 1992. While there she worked as a freelance journalist and as a sub-editor for the South China Morning Post.
In 1994 she moved to Tokyo, Japan, and joined an investor relations firm and edited English-language annual reports and corporate brochures for major Japanese companies including Komatsu, Honda, Mitsubishi Bank, Eisai and Kawasaki Steel.
In August 1998 Terri returned to Minnesota and went to work for accounting firm McGladrey & Pullen (now RSM McGladrey) as a copy editor/proofreader. She then joined the ranks of Best Buy, the consumer electronics retailer, in their Communications Department. There she co-wrote and edited Best Buy’s award-winning 2000 annual report; she’s still editing Best Buy’s AR on a freelance basis.
At BestBuy.com, Terri honed her skills editing content for the Web; this proved useful when she joined Ridgeview Medical Center and edited content for both print publications and assisted in the relaunch of the organization’s Web site. Terri continues to work on Ridgeview’s Web site on a contract basis.
Everywhere Terri worked she became the owner of—or created from scratch—the company’s editorial style guide and was the go-to person for matters relating to grammar, punctuation and style.
